Shared Upside

Building a successful vertical SaaS business takes deep industry knowledge and expertise. Building a successful business also requires strong software development experience. At Vu we have extensive experience in the latter and are looking for partners with the former.

How can Vu help?

You know your industry and have an idea for a product that’s missing.

We design, build and launch your idea. For a deposit, significantly less than it would cost to build it, and a stake in the business.

You will be able to review iterations of the product as it takes shape and provide input from the perspective of a user.

You have connections with people you trust who are likely to buy it when it’s finished.

We agree on revenue share and deposit repayment milestones, ownership, IP, data, code, company, before we build.

You get a finished product. We get paid as it makes money.

The deposit is refunded as revenue targets are met.

Why build with us?

We are a small, tightly-knit and experienced team.

Our CTO previously built and exited a vertical SaaS business to a private equity company.

We don’t build products just for fun, we run Raq.com, an agentic AI that manages your accounts, data, tools, and 102.ai, a managed service that rebuilds websites using AI.

We have been approached by a number of businesses who have deep industry experience but little or no development experience. This is why we started Vu.

We have a lot of ideas for software, but don’t have industry-specific expertise in most sectors.

We recently teamed up with a financial adviser to create RiskMapped a protection needs analysis tool for financial advisers in the UK. This was funded by him with a small deposit and will be profitable for Vu if it’s successful.

We are building a construction management product with some very experienced people. Again, there is a deposit to help us fund development and Vu’s income is linked to the success of the product.

The same team that builds our own products builds your product.

We will manage your cloud infrastructure and keep it safe and secure. We will support the product after launch.

How is this different to hiring an agency?

  • We will be invested in the outcome. It’s a venture. We will both win or lose together.
  • With an agency they will be happy to build it but won’t really care whether it’s successful or not. You will be paying them in phases. Probably also paying them monthly to maintain it. You own the product. We would both own it.
  • Agencies make money from the number of hours they spend building products. Vu will only make money if our venture makes money after launch. We want to make more than we invested.

How do we get started?

Book a venture call. We’ll discuss your idea and assess the industry problem it solves and market opportunities. If it looks promising we’ll dig deeper:

What does version 1 of this product look like?

How much of a deposit should you provide to help us fund the project?

At what revenue levels should your deposit be refunded?

How much of the product, the company, should Vu own?

Who owns the data, code, IP?

How much revenue should Vu receive after launch and how should we manage it?

Once we’ve done this we’ll write it all down and if you’re happy with it we’ll get started.

What products have you built?

We recently launched Raq.com, an agentic AI that manages your accounts, data, tools, and 102.ai, a managed service that rebuilds websites using AI. We are building RiskMapped, protection needs analysis for UK financial advisers, and a construction management tool.
