Our Story

Vu Ai's roots trace back to 2017 when our CTO, Alex Hawke, co-founded AccountancyManager (now BrightManager). As CTO, Alex built the automation, CRM, and onboarding that was the cornerstone of the platform. What started as a solution to streamline tedious admin for accountants quickly evolved into the UK's leading onboarding & practice management software. Our CEO, Phil Webb, joined as the first non-founding team member. His insights and client interactions were crucial in shaping how AccountancyManager revolutionised the industry.

By 2022, when Bright acquired AccountancyManager, many thousands of accounting businesses were relying on the platform as the core of their operations. The success of the platform demonstrated the immense potential of using software to automate and optimise processes.

Fast forward to 2024, and Alex and Phil were seeing huge productivity gains from integrating AI into their daily work. Alex founded Raq.com, using AI to transform what’s possible in change monitoring. Meanwhile, Phil was leveraging AI to onboard global brands like eBay, Hitachi & Aston Martin in his role as Head of Growth at 4 Roads.

The tangible benefits of AI in their daily work inspired the creation of Vu Ai. Blending Alex's proficiency in automation, problem-solving, and software development with Phil's expertise in business scaling and growth strategies for diverse organisations. Vu Ai is founded on practical experience and in-depth knowledge of business transformation through technology.
